Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
The Lessons for Life Foundation provides educational scholarships and support to vulnerable children, particularly those affected by AIDS and HIV in Eastern and Southern Africa. Through providing access to education, LFLF strives to help the poorest and most underprivileged children build a future for themselves. By offering opportunities for socio-economic independence, LFLF enables families and communities to make positive changes to their lives and futures.

Our Ugandan programme is packed with variety and includes reading, educational play activities with children, community outreach work and a construction project. Volunteers work and live in teams and are fully supported from the pre-orientation to the flight home at the end of your placement. This is an incredible opportunity to make a lasting impact on the children and communities of Kampala and Mubende – areas where the impact of HIV, AIDs and poverty is most severe.

Participants have the opportunity to choose:

General Skills – an overview of development work including education, healthcare and construction.

Or a placement that focuses on Education/teaching, Healthcare/Medical or construction

•Summer one week programme 2014, Uganda: Friday 18th – Saturday 26th April 2014 €950

•3 week programme 2014 :

•Placement 1: Friday 27th June – Friday 18th July €1500
